Information about the service fee
Dear user,
You have returned the bike improperly. Vélhop bikes have to be returned to the same station where they were rented from. There is a regular fee of 25 € per rental for bikes when returned to another station or away from a station.
You can still avoid the fee:
Go back to the bike and rent it again. Do not do this from afar, as the lock will open automatically. The new rental will merge with the old one and the improper return fee will be cleared if you return the bike properly this time.
You can see the final charges for your rentals in your rental history in your app or in your customer account via the website login.
Which return options are there for Vélhop?
At stations:
Vélhop bikes have to be returned to the station where they were rented from. Please make sure that the bike is parked in such a way that it does not obstruct anyone.
If there are no free spaces when you arrive at the station where you rented the bike, you must still park it next to the other bikes – outside the terminals – and close the lock to end the rental. The bike will normally be geolocated at the correct station.
Away from stations:
Bikes may not be returned to another station or away from stations. There is no flexzone! For improper returns a fee of at least 25 € will apply automatically.
Unjust fees? What now?
Due to slight GPS deviations, you may be charged a fee for inproper return even though you returned your bike to the right station. No problem. Contact our hotline at +33 (0)3 67 70 70 70 or send us a message via app with your registered mobile phone number, respective bike number and a short description of the problem. We will correct the rental.
